- Standardisation of tools
The tools that the BBBEE consultants use should be the same as what the verification agencies use to eliminate the repeated capturing of the data. When many different people capture data there are more chances of mistakes. If the consultant prepares the data and evidence on behalf of the company, it becomes easier for the verification agency to verify the captured data against the evidence on file. The standardisation can only be achieved if the level of training is sufficient.
- Access to the Central Scorecard Database
Most companies that want to be verified have to ask their suppliers for their respective year's BBBEE scorecards. This is a slow and time consuming exercise without a central scorecard database. The Central Scorecard Database has more than 15000 scorecards listed and is accessible for companies to match their supplier lists with and generate the BBBEE reports needed for their own scorecard.
This creates the opportunity for BBBEE consulting firms and BBBEE verification agencies to offer this service to their clients and earn commission. This forms a new income generation opportunity for the entire industry.
